The control of electric motors by converter-type devices is an appropriate solution for the operation of a large variety of machines 1hp 56 motors. However, there are some limitations that may cause drawbacks to certain applications, such as the current rise in the starting that can disturb the operation of other devices connected to the network, mechanical blows at the start and stop that are harmful to the machine, or for the comfort and safety of the users and the operation at constant speed.
Soft-start and electronic static converters eliminate these drawbacks and are intended for direct current and alternating current motors control and ensure progressive acceleration and deceleration and allow accurate speed adaptation to the operating conditions. Depending on the type of motor, the drives used are of the DC converter type, frequency converter or voltage regulator. The acceleration of the engine is controlled by means of a linear or S-acceleration ramp. This ramp is normally adjustable, allowing the acceleration time to be varied. The motor speed will be defined by a voltage input input or current called reference.
